Doge Chatbot: What’s the Motive?
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and SpaceX are now distracted by the newest bright object: AI chatbots, just months after acquiring Twitter. While there is little information regarding Musk’s planned AI project, the entrepreneur has been vocal in his disdain for ChatGPT. Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015 but has subsequently severed connections with the firm. In 2018, he stepped down from the board of OpenAI.
What About TruthGPT
Musk stated during an interview with Tucker Carlson that he intends to construct a “truth-seeking” AI to comprehend the universe’s nature. Musk believes this method will result in safe AI that will not exterminate humanity due to what he refers to as humanity’s important place in the universe.
The new AI also has more immediate goals. During the interview, Musk allegedly stated that ChatGPT’s left-wing developers had coded their chatbots to “lie.” Carlson highlighted concerns about the impact of AI on elections in a framing piece. TruthGPT might counteract AI algorithms with a left-wing bias — though Musk’s product will almost certainly be accused of having a right-wing bias.
Carlson further mentioned that Musk was involved in the funding of the competing AI chatbot ChatGPT. The host contended that Musk desired authority over the project, but Microsoft and Google got corporate ownership. (In actuality, Google and Microsoft are the only investors in OpenAI, the parent company of ChatGPT.
An Effort to Save Dogecoin?
Elon Musk is no stranger to being in the spotlight. His controversial antics have single-handedly altered the price of Dogecoin many times. But recently the coin has been suffering and its price has been dropping significantly. After many public criticisms that Musk voiced against chatGPT, he is now coming up with his own and putting the Doge brand all over it. Can this be another one of Musk’s spotlight moments in the hopes of bumping the coin price up?
Bottom Line
Musk has many projects out there right now, be it Twitter or his latest Chatbot efforts. While some of Musk’s criticisms were controversial, he remains an influential figure and his opinions must be considered. The ‘Doge’ brand might have started with a joke stigma labeled on it but it went on to survive and spawn many other projects including the Doge Chatbot, so is the joke going too far? Or is it finally shedding this label?
