LEAP 2024's ‘New Horizons’ Banner Unfurls Riyadh's Tech Skyline
Riyadh’s LEAP 2024 tech conference commenced this Monday, marking its third edition with an unprecedented gathering of 1,000 companies and 1,000 experts from 180 countries.
Under the banner “New Horizons,” the conference, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, and Tahaluf, promises to be a pivotal event in the tech world. Hosted at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center from March 4 to 7, LEAP 2024 aims to be a melting pot of innovation and insight.
This year, the conference broadens its horizons with the return of the DeepFest platform, in collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), and introduces various specialized platforms and theaters.
These venues are set to host many training courses and innovation sessions, further enriched by the participation of startups and leading names in artificial intelligence from across the globe.
LEAP 2024’s agenda covers a wide range of topics, including technology, artificial intelligence, sustainability, gaming, space, cybersecurity, and digital twins. It will feature insights from a distinguished roster of speakers such as Angela Kane, former Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations; Elizabeth Adams, formerly of Stanford University’s Ethics and Culture of Artificial Intelligence Institute; and Divya Gokulnath, co-founder of Byju.
Additional notable speakers include executives from Bolt, Nokia, Ericsson, and IBM, highlighting the event’s status as a premier platform for discourse in the tech community. The LEAP conference has shown remarkable growth, with investments soaring from $6.4 billion in its inaugural year to over $9 billion in its second edition. Visitor attendance has similarly surged, alongside an expansion of the conference’s physical footprint.
The event not only serves as a showcase for technological innovation but also as a forum for exchanging ideas that will influence the trajectory of technology and entrepreneurship. Prominent industry figures, including CEOs from IBM, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Zoom, Ericsson, and former Austrian Minister Margarete Schramböck, are set to share their vision on the main stage.
LEAP 2024 will also see an impressive turnout from tech behemoths like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, and many others, underlining the conference’s importance as a hub for networking and collaboration among tech industry leaders.
This year’s LEAP conference features multiple platforms and theaters dedicated to various aspects of the tech industry, from Web 3 and privacy strategies to artificial intelligence and startup innovation. The inclusion of the Deep Fest platform and the Rocket Fuel Competition, with prizes exceeding one million dollars, underscores LEAP’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting the growth of the tech sector.
