Questions were raised whether Elon musk DOGE department will bypass the authority of congress in matters of spending cuts to challenge lawmakers’ control of governmental funding. The past weeks, the US noticed grown support of Republicans for the Elon musk department of DOGE, wanting to reduce government size, cut regulations, and trim the federal workforce.

Paul, known for his libertarian-leaning policies, forwarded over 2,000 pages detailing potential wasteful government spending for review by the Elon Musk DOGE team. 

Expected Challenges  

Even though the DOGE initiative is having a lot of backup support, republican lawmakers are proceeding with caution with some representatives like the appropriations Chair Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.) remain hesitant to idea of bypassing Congress to enact cuts. 

Musk and Ramaswamy have proposed a legal challenge to the Impoundment Control Act, which limits the president’s ability to withhold funding, potentially undermining Congress’ control over spending.  

While some lawmakers are skeptical, many republicans are waiting to see how Elon Musk DOGE initiative develops within the GOP agenda.
