Arc Search has introduced a new feature within its app, enabling users to get quick answers using their voices.

This new AI-powered tool, called Call Arc permits users to make a brief phone call with the search app to ask questions and receive the answers promptly, adding a twist to the interaction with the voice search.

To use Call Arc, users are just required to open the app, hold their phone to their ear or even put the speaker on, and start asking their questions. Then the app would immediately generate voice responses, making it similar to calling a friend for quick advice.

This feature is mainly designed to provide users with answers using their voice instead of typing their queries, making the process faster, especially for questions requiring easy responses.

Call Arc is useful for people seeking immediate assistance while performing a specific task. For example, while cooking a meal, a user can ask questions related to the ingredients and the way to cook this meal, without the need to interrupt themselves.

During the “call” between the user and the voice assistant, the app displays a smiley face, with a moving mouth while delivering the answers. Therefore, the user can follow the instructions and apply them instantly.

Arc search was launched back in January and focuses on answering questions, using the “Browse for me” feature that generates responses to queries from the web using AI models, such as OpenAI and others.

It is true that Call Arc is designed to assist users, but the question is are the users’ queries monitored or recorded? This raise concerns related to privacy, as users might be hesitant to ask specific questions, worrying about how data they are providing the voice with is being processed and stored.
