Everything We Know So Far About the Asus ROG Phone 6

We may only be a few months away from seeing Asus’s 6th iteration of a long history of rolling out high-tech premium smartphones, the Asus ROG Phone 6.

Although no one knows for sure, when you get the phone depends largely on where you live. The Asus Rog Phone 6, with ROG standing for ‘Republic of Gamers’, has so far been rumored to drop in May 2022 in India and possibly in the UK.

In the past, the Asus ROG Phone 5 and 5Pro were released as much as two months apart in Asia and Europe. While those in the US never saw the 5S and the UK never saw the 5 Pro, so everything we know is pure conjecture.

Is the Asus ROG Phone 6 Affordable

The ROG Phone 5 is normally priced at £799 in the UK and $999 in the US, respectively, and so we can expect the Asus ROG Phone 6 is expected to follow that pattern. Of course, if the Pro/Ultimate editions are available in your area, they will cost more.

According to the Indian site GadgetsNow, the ROG Phone 6 will cost 59,999 Rs, or around $784, and the ROG Phone 6 Ultimate would cost 79,948 Rs, or around $1045, and so that would help gauge the price.

What are the Specs?

A heavy gaming smartphone ought to bring some serious firepower to the table if it is to live up to the task, but again, all we have is speculation.

Previous ROG models, the 5 and 5S Pro, used the Qualcomm 888 Plus CPU, which has now been by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This should give an extra kick to what is already a pretty hefty piece of gear.

We can expect the same beautiful FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, as well as a massive 6,000mAh battery that will allow for much longer gaming sessions.

Rumors are suggesting that, like the 5S, the highest spec will have 18GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, with varying configurations ranging from 8GB to 128GB.

The camera, while not the focus of the design, has not been overlooked in previous models, with the 5S sporting a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, a 13-megapixel 125-degree ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera.

Of course, Asus could upgrade to keep up with the sensors offered by other phone brands, but their focus is on gaming.

Of course, any gaming phone should boast having 5G capabilities, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2 if you are to slay your online enemies.

If you have ever tried to play a graphically heavy phone game with a lot of enemies or fellow players running around, you might have noticed your phone heating up in your hand, and your battery is now at half of what it was when you started playing.

The Asus Rog 6 is specially built to withstand such heavy demand while still providing high-end features good for any smartphone user. In gaming terms, it’s a beast, but we won’t know for sure until release, at which point this article will be updated.

Summary

The Asus ROG Phone 6 is a highly anticipated heavy gaming smartphone that is expected to have a sleek design and a tough-looking techy exterior while boasting some hefty specs and connectivity capabilities to suit any gamer’s needs. This is all speculation, however, going off Asus’ old releases, and so we will be updating this article appropriately.
