Musk Releases Grok-3 Chatbot that Learns from Its Mistakes

On Monday night, Elon Musk will release the latest version of his AI chatbot, Grok-3, calling it “scary smart”.

On Monday night, Elon Musk will release the latest version of his AI chatbot, Grok-3, calling it “scary smart,” only days after submitting a $90 billion bid to acquire OpenAI, intensifying the competition between his AI development and leading AI innovators.

Grok 3 surfaced when AI started to quickly evolve and grow with a plethora of stronger and cheaper models challenging OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and Musk, of all people, took it upon himself to start throwing bragging remarks on the Grok 3 training.

Trump’s favorite man in the tech industry implied that it Grok-3 will even overtake market leaders, such as OpenAI and China’s DeepSeek, as it not just a chatbot, but holds a more significant goal of breaking new grounds in the chatbots’ world.

Musk’s Not Giving Up

Musk has always been brutally blunt when it comes to his disappointment with OpenAI, mainly stemming from the company’s structural transformation that will take Altman’s company from a non-profit in 2015 to a for-profit entity.

For Musk, it’s fair to say, that this possible shift sent him on a ranging tantrum enticing him to place a bid of almost $100 billion to purchase OpenAI.

Musk has even gone ahead and stated that, “they changed the name to ‘closed’ for maximum profit AI,” while in reference to the change Musk has previously sued OpenAI for.

“I was on record disgusted by this plan and the subsequent actions to implement it,” Musk said.

At the same time, with the Grok 3 release date Musk not only creates AI technology but simultaneously heightening the competition within the market.

The most frequent question has been, “When is Grok 3 coming out?”

To that, Musk announced, “Grok 3 release with live demo on Monday night at 8pm PT. Smartest AI on Earth.” And now, it’s just a matter of mere hours before the tech world sees how the Grok 3 Elon Musk news could possibly make or break the already set and established foundations in the AI market.

What Is Grok 3?

Will Grok-3 succeed based on its capabilities, or will its success be endorsed by Musk’s influence and the power in the tech world and the Trump administration?

Well, it very well could be a combination of both. However, when Grok, the AI chatbot, was first released on November 4, 2023, many people were skeptical about its usefulness due to Musk’s name being linked to it. After a while, people began using Grok for various purposes, such as medical reports, but it wasn’t very accurate.

Looking at the series of events, Musk at that time had no governmental power as he does now. Could his position in the Trump administration give him the influence to develop something better than the chatbot he was once linked to, OpenAI’s GPT? Or would people still prefer GPT over any smarter, wiser, and faster chatbot? This ties into the broader idea of familiarity that humans naturally prefer.

One thing Grok-3 could benefit humans is that hopefully they will begin learning from their mistakes.

Grok 3 Model Learning from Its Own Mistakes

Musk described Grok-3 as “scary smart,” highlighting its superiority over other chatbots. Speaking at the World Government Summit in Dubai last week, the tech billionaire said, “At times, I think Grok 3 is scary smart.”

He noted that the model is trained in synthetic data, can self-check its own responses for logical validity, and learn from its own mistakes.

The AI industry is becoming more competitive, with new players joining the chatbot game. Just recently, China’s DeepSeek has developed an AI model that competes with ChatGPT at a lower cost. At the same time, Musk is advancing the Grok 3 AI development by launching Grok 3 as a crucial competitor in the sector.
