GPT's New AI Tool 'Sora' Transforms Text to Videos
On Thursday, ChatGPT unveiled its next step in the field of generative AI with a tool that instantly transforms texts commands into short videos, dubbed ‘Sora’.
Hundreds of imagined AI footage have gone viral on the X platform since Thursday, in a kind of hysteria.
Since the past hours, the Sora fever has been sweeping social media, initiated with a tweet from OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, asking users to come up with ideas to generate a series of videos using the Sora model, which transforms any text or description written by the user into high resolution video.
Sora relies on the users’ imagination.
In parallel, AI enthusiasts have been quick to brainstorm the potential of this newer technology and unleash their imaginations suggesting ideas to turn it into videos.
The new AI tool can generate videos of up to 60 seconds, featuring extremely detailed and accurate scenes with complex camera movement and lifelike emotional characters.
Although Sora is not the first AI-based text-to-video engine, other companies like Google with Lumiere and Stability AI have also showcased their models recently. However, due to the widespread use of ChatGPT, OpenAI has established somewhat of a market leadership in this area, which suggests that Sora’s release could have a more significant impact.
