Photomath, Google’s latest app, is one of the productivity AI powered productivity applications, designed to primarily solve mathematical problems and equations and user preferences.

The application was founded in Croatia and launched in 2014, and in May of 2022, Google announced its acquisition, and the acquisition process was audited by the European Commission, which granted Google approval about a year ago. 

Google’s latest creation gives users the ability to solve a wide range of math problems, starting from division and multiplication to advanced math, such as trigonometry and calculus. 

One of the most standout features of this app is its detailed step-by-step solution approach. It doesn’t just provide the final answer but also demonstrates how to reach it.  

Photomath app’s camera can recognize both printed and handwritten problems, displaying various methods to solve them. Users are not required to access Wi-Fi or cellular data connectivity. 

To use Google’s latest app, user preferences can take a picture of the mathematical equation, and then wait for a few minutes for it to analyze the equation using AI and generate a detailed answer. 

Users can also upload a picture from their phone that includes an equation or a math problem. Photomath has also a calculator to enter the equation manually and get the solution instantly. It also supports several languages, including English, Arabic, Chinese, French and others, so users can select their preferences. 

Google’s latest addition has a paid version, Photomath Plus, that user preferences can subscribe to. It offers special features, such as interactive lessons. The Photomath application can be downloaded from both the Google Play Store and the App Store.
