Nokia Partnership with T-Mobile Remains Strong as Airtel Secures Its 5G Equipment Deal
On Wednesday, T-Mobile reaffirmed commitment to its Nokia partnership, dispelling rumors of a potential shift to Ericsson, following a plunging drop in Nokia’s stock, according to Reuters.
The drop in stock value was influenced by analyst Earl Lum’s predictions of T-Mobile favoring Ericsson. Concurrently, Nokia secured a multi-billion-dollar contract with Bharti Airtel to supply 4G and 5G equipment.
T-Mobile’s open endorsement of Nokia coincided with the Finnish company’s expansion with Indian telco for its Nokia 5G equipment.
“T-Mobile works with both Nokia and Ericsson, who have helped us build the largest and fastest 5G network in the nation,” said T-Mobile spokesperson, adding that the company will “continue to work with them to ensure our customers have the best mobile network experience.”
Are T-Mobile and Nokia Partners?
T-Mobile and Nokia have been partners for over a decade. Nokia network equipment is supplied for T-Mobile’s 5G expansion. Their T-Mobile and Nokia 5g equipment collaboration started years ago, playing a key role in building one of the largest and fastest 5G networks in the US.
Nokia shares rose 4% after T-Mobile’s reassurance, reaffirming Nokia’s role in T-Mobile’s in 5G expansion. The T-Mobile Nokia 5G partnership is necessary to maintain both companies’ competitive edge in the crowded US telecom market.
Nokia Partnership with Bharti Airtel
