X’s CEO, Linda Yaccarino, announced the launch of the platform’s TV app in a post on the platform, highlighting the app’s aims to provide users with high-quality immersive entertainment experience, but this time on larger screens.
She also mentioned some key features that will be included in the upcoming app, such as trending algorithm that will be specifically designed for videos, allowing users to explore content based on their preferences. Moreover, the app will provide AI-powered topics with the aim to sort videos by subject, offering a more personalized viewing experience.
One of the key features that will be included in this TV app is the cross-platform functionality, which enables users to seamlessly switch from watching a video on their smartphone to continuing the same video on the TV using the app.
The new video streaming app will contain enhanced video search capabilities, as well as easy displaying from smartphones to big screens.
Elon Musk’s X has not yet revealed any detailed information related to the timeline for the roll out of its new app, it is expected that it will be eventually available on smart TV platforms.
Meanwhile, the U.S. billionaire had previously announced that new users seeking to join the X platform might be required to pay fees to for them to be able to post content and interact.
