EarliPoint Autism Tech Will Detect Early Autism

Hope Haven community, made healthcare services advancement to become the first to offer EarliPoint Autism technology to identify Early Autism

Hope Haven community, Northeast Florida, made healthcare services advancement to become the first to offer EarliPoint Autism technology to identify Early Autism starting from the age of 16 months for early intervention.

This innovative approach empowers healthcare professionals to diagnose autism earlier, providing families with the tools they need for timely support and intervention. By integrating EarliPoint Autism technology, Hope Haven is setting a new standard for autism care in the region.

What Is EarliPoint Autism Tool?

EarliPoint, an advanced diagnostic tool that uses eye-tracking technology and high-end algorithms to examine a child’s social behaviors. The EarliPoint eye tracking mechanism observes how the child interacts to social cues (faces, objects) and provides critical insights into a child’s social and communicative development.

Dr. Alison Cato at Hope Haven explained, “What captures their attention could be another child’s face (in the video), but for a child with autism they may be more interested in objects or movement in the scene instead of human interactions.”

Benefits of EarliPoint Evaluation

Early Autism detection at 16 months is the key benefit of EarliPoint, unlike traditional diagnosis. Children who are diagnosed with autism are lucky to receive the support they need during the early years of development.

Autism intervention tools strengthen the possibility to improve social and cognitive behaviors in a significant way, what makes it important for children and their families.

“The sooner we can diagnose and offer support, the better the outcomes for children with autism,” said Stella Johnson, CEO of Hope Haven.

“With EarliPoint, we are helping families avoid long wait times and providing the timely interventions that are crucial during these formative years.”

Taking into consideration the traditional Autism evaluations, the process takes too long – One hour-, involving clinical assessments interactions with toys and play behaviors. In contrast, EarliPoint eye tracking evaluation takes only 12 mins.

Therefore, EarliPoint system and procedures enable quick identification. The adoption of EarliPoint, positions Hope Haven in the lead in autism care in Florida, making it easier for families and bringing hope for those who may have faced long waiting lists for evaluations.

The accuracy of the EarliPoint autism tool and the speed helps clinicians to provide faster diagnoses, resulting in better outcomes for children with autism.

“Before, they may have waited months or even longer for an evaluation, but now we can provide earlier results and direct them toward the support they need” Dr. Cato said.

Hope for the Future of Autism Care

Hope Haven is adopting EarliPoint to strengthen its commitment to providing the most advanced services available to children with developmental challenges.

As Northeast Florida’s first provider to adopt this new technology, Hope Haven is leading the charge in transforming how early autism diagnoses are made, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families throughout the region.
