Qattah service, new service to share payments launched by stc pay

Saudi Arabia’s stc pay launched, late last week, the Qattah service, which is an integrated service that will allow customers to easily share and track expenses with multiple people, removing the stress from splitting bills.

The digital payment provider service of telecommunications company offered this application that will let users equally divide the amount to be collected by specifying a percentage for each person, or by allocating the amount paid by each person separately.

Stc pay aims to build a major mobile digital banking experience for its customers who amount to more than 7.4 million. This is done by focusing on a customer-centric approach.

On the same note, consumer desire for digital banking services continues to grow in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), accelerated further by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a new survey conducted by Backbase with YouGov.

Eighty-eight percent of citizens said that they are now more likely to opt for digital banking services rather than make a physical visit to a bank branch, with consumers saying they prefer digital self-service banking solutions delivered with the same convenience as their ecommerce, entertainment, and transport solutions.

Also, the new service aims to transform all financial services into contactless digital services, allowing its customers to complete their financial operations in an accessible, smooth manner. Innovation in digital technologies is at the heart of stc pay, ensuring customers have the smartest and most efficient digital banking services at their fingertips, according to the company.

The goals of Vision 2030 come in line with the process of sharing expenses, with the vision aiming to increase digital financial transactions in the Kingdom to 70 percent by 2030.

The new in-app feature can be found on the list of main services, and it allows users to create groups with relatives or friends to buy a joint gift or split a bill.

In addition, the Qattah amounts will be automatically processed via the application, providing contactless transactions in line with the Kingdom’s aim of creating a cashless society.
