That is a much-needed cuteness from an AI powered application, named Tably, that helps the cat owners understand their cat’s mood. You just need your smartphone camera to take a clean photo of your cat’s facial expressions, magic happens, and decoding starts.
So, you are going to get answers from your mysterious and playful cat on its feelings.
Sylvester.AI, the company behind the app, writes that Tably is based on the Feline Grimace Scale (FGS), a proven tool used by scientists to determine pain in animals based on facial expressions.
“….taking into account five facial cues: ear position, orbital tightening, muzzle tension, whisker position and head position,” the company states. “
97% accuracy is resulted, if the photo is a full front image of your cat and definitely of high quality.
Grumpy cats, Tably gotcha!
Tably is designed for cats with the most common type of face, which is similar to that of a domestic shorthair cat. Like the Persians, Scottish folds, and sphinxes. Cats with unusual ears or other facial features may not register on the app accurately. You should also avoid taking the photo when your cat is meowing or just after it has woken up, as this can affect its facial expression.
You can LITERARY talk to your cat!
– Meow … Meow
– Meowww, MEOWW
You are not going to communicate with their ‘Meow’ language. But instead, and the great thing about this application is that it messages you as if your cat is talking to you directly, a good understandable language.
It can’t cure it! Just go directly to the veterinarian for any health problem your cat may experience. Tably can’t do that for you.
The application is available for both iOS and Android and the company is planning to roll out the technology for other animals as well.
