Taking you on a walk through my experience during the pandemic, we all handled it differently; each person has their own version of the story. As I got to know my new classmates and professors online, I found myself connecting with them virtually, but when I actually met them in real life, that connection was gone, and I felt estranged from them.  

Online discussions provided a level of anonymity that allowed me to imprint my personality on my classmates in ways that would not have been possible in real life. Yes, the shift to online classes may have been challenging for all of us, but it also opened new opportunities for personal growth and connection. 

As remote working has become the norm, online meetings are now the primary way of communication for many professionals. While this has brought with it many benefits, it has also raised concerns about the impact of technology on corporate culture. However, for individuals, it presents an opportunity to showcase their personality and make a lasting impression on their colleagues. With the rise of filters and avatars and authenticity in online persona, the question arises: can relying on technology to present ourselves online lead to a shift in our perception of identity and self-expression?
