Samsung’s AI Fridge Can Help You Prepare Meals
Ahead of CES 2024, Samsung unveiled some of its new appliances featuring IoT and smart features.
These appliances include the Bespoke 4-Door Flex refrigerator, Anyplace Induction cooking stove, and Slide-In Range oven which are built with touch screens for advanced functionalities.
It also seems that the generative AI will be the main feature of all Samsung products expected to be launched next year.
The Bespoke 4-Door Flex refrigerator provided with AI Family Hub + technology features the all-new AI Vision Inside that uses an internal camera to identify the items placed in the fridge or when they’re taken out.
The refrigerator also has an AI Vision feature that can identify about 33 different fresh foods based on a previously defined set of training data with about 1 million food images.
This feature classifies each nutrient and displays it on an external touch screen of 32 inches.
The list of goods placed in the refrigerator may be adjusted via the use of the touch screen. Users can also add the expiry date of each good. The refrigerator sends a warning notification about the expiry of such goods.
The refrigerator manager feature allows you to monitor the condition of the water filter. Moreover, the refrigerator warns you when it’s time to replace the filter. You can order an alternative water filter directly from Amazon with just a click.
Samsung’s Tizen-enabled screen allows you to watch YouTube videos, control smart home devices compatible with SmartThings, display the smartphone screen, and watch TikTok.
Through the integration of Samsung Food, Samsung Health, and Smart Things, the refrigerator takes into account your nutritional and healthy desires to recommend recipes.
Users can also use the customization feature supported by AI food to add their nutritional desires such as dairy- free foods and gluten- free foods.
The customized meal plan analyzes users’ information when connected to Samsung Health to create customized meals based on their health needs.
In addition, the Samsung Anyplace Induction stove, and the Slide-In Range oven feature touch screens of 7 inches that display the recipes recommended by the Bespoke 4-Door Flex refrigerator.
“We are both proud and excited to be showcasing these upgraded AI and connectivity features, which utilize the latest technology to help everyone take their food and kitchen experiences to the next level,” said Moohyung Lee, EVP and Head of the Customer experience Team of the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics.
