Most tech users have complained in the past about finding a reliable expert to repair their device on the spot. Well, looks like T-Mobile is taking notice, as it gears up to offer same-day, in-store mobile device repairs.
“Repairs will be completed with some of the most highly credentialed mobile repair technicians in the industry, that use only manufacturer-approved parts and are committed to fast and reliable service,” T-Mobile announced on Thursday.
The telecom firm stated that beginning Nov. 1, T-Mobile protection subscriber will be able to take advantage of same-day device repairs from the company’s 500 retail locations branched out across the U.S., with additional branches from different regions expected to follow.
According to The Verge, “Technicians will provide same-day fixes using manufacturer-approved parts to customers who subscribe to its Protection<360> service, which also includes device replacement in case of loss or theft.”
The telecom giant is also advancing its device protection plan by allowing customers to request five repair claims in a 12-month period, which showcases an increase from the original limit of three.
Insurance company Assurant is responsible for handling the repair claims. Based on your technical claim, Assurant offers deductibles which can come as a benefit if you’re having technical difficulties while on a budget.
Once same-day in-store repairs are operating, users will be able to schedule an appointment through T-Mobile’s store locator.
