First organized in 2019, the Eurasia Blockchain summit gathers key industry players from Central Asia, the Middle East, and several European countries. This blockchain technology summit allows the attendees to share the latest advancements in the field with like-minded individuals, from industry leaders and investors to blockchain enthusiasts and entrepreneurs. This event has set Turkey, where 20 percent of the population holds crypto, on its path to becoming a blockchain powerhouse. Due to the recent pandemic, this blockchain technology summit was not held in 2021. In 2022, however, powered by Kemer Partners, it is scheduled for the 8th and 9th of October 2022 in Istanbul, Turkey. As for the future blockchain summit, the exact details of the event remain to be determined.
The Blockchain Summit makes three types of tickets available for purchase:
This year’s blockchain technology summit tackles topics under the following umbrellas: Metaverse, Blockchain tracking systems, NFT, Web 3.0, and Web 2.0, with several high-profile speakers.
Opening the two-day event will be Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, Dr. Çetin Ali Dönmez, and Co-Founder of Eurasia Blockchain, Ayperi Kaya.
The first segment of the blockchain summit will center around “Blockchain and its future.” In its simplest form, blockchain is an information recording system designed to protect cryptocurrency transactions and make it virtually impossible for an individual to alter, infiltrate, or deceive the system. The speakers will also briefly touch on the future of several cryptocurrencies that already use blockchain in their processes (i.e., Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.). Speaking on this matter are:
The following segment of this blockchain technology summit will discuss the “Fintech World.” Technology has made itself a non-negotiable part of the finance world, notably through recent technology seeking to improve and automate the delivery and use of financial services (i.e., your bank’s mobile application). The following speakers will be sharing how the advancements will impact financial companies and institutions:
After that, Can Orhun, Co-Founder of ArtCert, will be taking the stage following a presentation to understand NFTs and their future. NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are unique cryptographic tokens existing on a blockchain and cannot be replicated by others.
Metaverse, a 3D virtual reality social platform, is also a pertinent topic. The discussion will revolve around, among other things, its technological layer and the future of metagames. Taking the floor at the Eurasia Blockchain summit 2022 will be:
Web 2.0 and Web 3.0, the 2nd and 3rd generations of the evolution of web technology, will be the next subject of discussion. The main difference between the second and third generations is that the third relies on machine learning and AI to present the user with relevant content. Executive Director of Avalanche Foundation, Aytunç Yıldızlı, will discuss the security of the third generation following a presentation about the infrastructure gap between the generations.
Mihriban Ersin Tekmen, who co-founded Colendi and CovenLabs while remaining on the board of the former, will take the stage following a presentation series under “Female Power of Blockchain” to discuss the added value women bring to the table when they join the blockchain industry.
The first subject on the second day covers the blockchain ecosystem. A blockchain ecosystem is a network of all the participants in the blockchain network that share the business process and business objectives. Its main components are the node application, distributed ledger, consensus algorithms, and virtual machine. Discussing the impact of blockchain technology on the industry and the digital assets’ impact on central banks, and its integration with state authorities will be:
Expert Advisor at Standford CISAC, Whitfield Diffie, will take the stage to delve into the security and scalability of blockchain, followed by the founder and CEO of Ava Labs, Emin Gün Sirer. Blockchain creates a network of data inherently secure based on principles of cryptography, decentralization, and consensus, thus ensuring trust in transactions.
Blockchain is also integrating itself into the game world by enabling the use of NFTs and cryptocurrencies to complete in-game purchases of assets that the user could exchange for real-life money. Founder of Digital Turkish Platform, Okan Özbay, will explain how blockchain-based game operates.
Closing the Eurasia Blockchain Summit 2022 will be a series of presentations about investing in blockchain and encouraging the upcoming generation to get involved in this industry.
At the end of the second day of the Blockchain Summit 20221, over one hundred exhibitors will get a chance to display their products to potential investors and, thus, garner extensive attention. As an up-and-coming company, you get the opportunity to present your project to new potential investors. If nothing else, you will receive meaningful feedback through suggestions and support for your product. Any future blockchain summit would then feature better performing products.
Eurasia Blockchain Summit 2022 offers the new generation a chance to learn from those who came before them and take in professional thoughts from several experts in multiple fields about blockchain. It gives every participant a fair chance at securing investors for their projects, not to mention the exposure it generates for the projects, especially the up-and-coming ones.
