Ericsson awarded best 5G core technology vendor
Swedish telecom kit provider Ericsson was awarded on Monday the Best 5G Core Technology (Vendor) category for its dual mode 5G Core technology at the 5G Middle East and North Africa (MENA) 2021 Digital Symposium virtual awards ceremony.
The award recognizes the best core network solution that is enabling network transformation or a new service for operators with guaranteed quality of experience, with attendees representing a myriad of key players in the region’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry.
“We believe in the power of 5G and its ability to help countries across the region realize their national visions for the future, and transform industries and societies as we know them, and we’re committed to supporting this journey,” Lucky La Riccia, Vice President and Head of Digital Services at Ericsson Middle East and Africa said in statement.
La Riccia highlighted that for more than a century, Ericsson have been working with their partners to transform every sector of society, helping to create positive change through empowering an intelligent, sustainable, and connected world.
The dual-mode 5G Core enables new network capabilities that allow communications service providers to release the full potential of new 5G-enabled use cases. This is addressed by exposing network capabilities in a secure way as well as supporting network slicing to be able to flexibly support enterprise service level agreements (SLAs).
