On August 12, the Google Pixel 11 Pro was revealed alongside three other Pixel 11 models, bringing faster AI, upgraded cameras and hardware to its smartphone lineup, as Tensor G6 pushes more intelligent features directly onto devices for users worldwide, according to The Verge.
Google’s next generation Pixel smartphone lineup includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and a new Pixel 11 Pro Fold, at its “Made by Google” hardware event, with Google Pixel 11 series bringing more storage, faster charging, and deeper AI features.
Tensor G6 Makes Faster AI
At the heart of Google Pixel 11 is the giant’s Tensor G6 processor, with an improved performance of up to 25%, with a 25% faster web browsing capacity and 15% faster opening speed for apps.
The four smartphones are powered by Google Tensor G6 chip – the giant’s first smartphone processor built by TSMC’s 2-nanometer manufacturing process. handles more AI work directly on the phone, with the Android developer revealing it offers 50% more TPU computing power and can run on-device AI tasks up to 3.5 times faster, all while using less energy.

Packing more 50% Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) compute and paired with the latest Gemini Nano model, Google Tensor G6 processes on-device AI tasks up to 3.5 times less energy,” according to Google official blog announcement.
AI Powers Pixel Upgrade
The new chip runs Google’s latest Gemini Nano model, locally, powering Google on device AI features such as on-the-spot translation `and cross-application context awareness across Messages, Maps, and Calendar, without relying on cloud processing.
The Pixel 11 Pro specs include wider Live Translate support for videos, podcasts, and voice messages. Circle to Search can work through the camera, letting users identify objects, translate text or search their surroundings without taking a photo first.
Moreover, Google added HiLight to the Google Pixel 11 Pro, using LED lights around the camera to flash for alerts when the phone is facing down. The lights can show calls or indicate when Gemini is listening, thinking, or responding.
Security gets an upgrade through the Google Titan m3 security chip, which works with Tensor G6 to protect sensitive information and strengthen the phone against digital threats, including risks linked to quantum computing.
Photography remains a focus. Google Pixel 11 uses a 48-megapixel main sensor that Google says offers 56% more light sensitivity, helping capture clearer photos and videos in darker conditions.
The Pixel 11 Pro specs include an upgraded 48-megapixel telephoto camera with a larger sensor and about 30% more light sensitivity. Pro Zoom reaches 120x, while Night Sight can capture low-light images up to 4.5 times faster, according to Google.
The Google Pixel 11 Pro also gains new camera software, where Magic Capture can collect photos and videos for quick sharing, while Camera Looks lets users create custom styles.
Google Pixel Pro models can record stabilized video at up to 8K with Pro Stable Video and Video Boost.
For creators, the pixel 11 Pro specs include Creator Suite, with tools for trimming clips, rearranging footage, using a teleprompter, and improving speech clarity.
Clips can also be saved into a selected project album. The Google Pixel 11 Pro 5G starts with 256GB of storage, with Pro models offering up to 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM, giving users more room for apps and AI features.
For buyers tracking the Google Pixel 11 Pro release date, Google says the phones reach stores on August 20 after pre-orders opened on August 14. The three main models are promised seven years of operating system, security and Pixel Drop updates.
